With over 28 years experience in the beauty industry and teaching for many years both nationally and internationally, Kimberly Shooter is proud to present her range of multi-level permanent makeup training programs. Whether you are a beginner or searching for advanced training there is a course designed for you ensuring that you will learn everything you need to know to excel in the PMU industry.
Each class here at Dayton Permanent Makeup is broken into 2 modules. The first is an at home/online (MODULE 1), followed by an intense hands on in-person training (MODULE 2). Once completed you will receive lifelong support and mentorship in your permanent makeup career. All permanent makeup classes are taught in a private or semi-private setting to ensure you have a customized learning experience and constant attention. You will receive your training and certification from Dayton Permanent Makeup founder and educator, Kimberly Shooter.

Powder Brow / Digital Microblading / Combination Brow Training

Learn all 3 techniques in this power packed training. This course consists of 2 modules. The FIRST MODULE is a 3-4 week at home, self-paced learning of fundamentals, technical skills, machine and needle use and knowledge, color theory, etc. This will allow you to perfect your skills in each fundamental before attending the SECOND MODULE, which is a private 3 day intense training which is hands on utilizing synthetic skin and multiple live models. Personal 1 on 1 guidance and support, catering to your own unique interests and struggles. Start working immediately after class with a complete student kit and lifetime academy support! Student kit (including machine) and lunch are provided.
Complete Permanent Makeup Training
$5,400 ($500 non-refundable deposit)
Welcome to your complete permanent makeup training option! This in-depth course is designed for the artist who would like to learn the techniques of permanent makeup for the full face. This comprehensive training covers the techniques of Digital Microblading, Powder Brows, Combination Brows, Permanent Eyeliner and Lip Blushing. The first MODULE is a 3-4 week at home, self-paced learning of fundamentals, technical skills, machine and needle use and knowledge, color theory, etc. MODULE 2 is an intense 5 day in person, hands on training with live models. Start working immediately after class with a complete student kit and lifetime academy support! Student kit (including machine) and lunch are provided.
Lip Blush
Training
$2,600 ($500 non-refundable deposit)
Lip Blushing is the perfect way to create symmetry, smooth and neutralize uneven skin tones, and give back the youthful color to the lips. This is a 3 day course designed for current permanent makeup artists to add to their skillset. This course includes the FIRST MODULE which is a 2-3 week at home, self-paced learning of technical skills, machine and needle use and knowledge, color theory, etc. The SECOND MODULE, which is a private 2 day intense training which is hands on utilizing synthetic skin and live models both days. Personal 1 on 1 guidance and support, catering to your own unique interests and struggles. Student kit (including machine) and lunch are provided.
Permanent Eyeliner Training
$1,500 ($500 non-refundable deposit)
This course offers individual instruction and hands-on learning with a live model. This course utilizes the FIRST MODULE of in home training, followed by a jam packed full day of in person training which will allow you to walk away certified, full of knowledge in theory, products, pricing, hands on application and more!
Advanced Perfection Training
$1,100 ($500 non-refundable deposit)
Perfection Training Courses are for current permanent makeup artists looking to advance their skills to the next level. This is a full day of 1 on 1 hands on training with a live model, tailored to any aspects you would like to improve and perfect. A 2nd day may be added for $900. Lunch is provided.

You will receive everything needed for the at home/online learning (Module 1) and to continue practicing on models and clients after the completion of your class.
Module One
This is a 3-4 week at home, self-paced learning of fundamentals, technical skills, machine and needle use and knowledge, color theory, amongst many other things. You will learn how to create symmetrical and beautiful with both pencil and machine by learning techniques that ensure correct brow shape and position. I believe this is an important aspect of the training program as not every student learns at the same pace and has the same struggles. This option allows for you not to get rushed over in a group setting before mastering each piece of the permanent makeup puzzle. You will submit your work/levels and get constant feedback in passing each assignment.
This process allows the student to maximize their in-person learning time and make the most of their investment!
Module Two
Small group or 1 on 1 training. This 3-5 day intense training will be hands on utilizing synthetic skin and multiple live models. Personal 1 on 1 guidance and support, catering to your own unique interests and struggles. The small class size allows the flexibility to hone the techniques and feel confident as you embark on your new lucrative career.
Permanent Makeup Training FAQs
- The remaining balance of your class is to be paid in full before starting the ‘online/1st module’ training and at a minimum of 2 weeks before the start of your ‘in-person/2nd module’ class.
- Cancelling within 2 weeks of your ‘in person/2nd module’ will result in the need to place a new deposit to hold an additional date.
- A current Bloodborne Pathogens completion is required prior to ‘in person/2nd module’ training. This will need to be text/emailed to Kimberly Shooter.
- If you choose to supply your own model(s) for training, the $100 model sitting fee will be waived for your model. Working on a model you personally know is a great opportunity to gain extra knowledge in the healing process, daily pictures and insight to retention and touchup.
